The new AD – After Disclosure

After the US congress has hearings, and many people have come forward, and quite possibly technology has been shown… and, also quite possibly once the various people have testified that there are not only craft, but also aliens here (alive, kicking, and wheeling & dealing with extra-governmental agencies)…
What happens then?
Especially since said aliens are going to be watching with great interest…
Do we think they’re going to stay in hiding once the secret is out?
Will the US government do a walk-out on stage in front of a huge audience and cameras?
Will ships start arriving, and contact made across the planet with the general public, all in plain sight?
it would seem very illogical for them to not make themselves known once full disclosure has occurred (so, let’s hope at least one species is relatively Vulcan :p)
From the few posts (and hundreds of comments) I’ve been reading on here, it seems as though no-one has given thought to what *they* are doing, or thinking about this.
Of course, the next question is – since they’ve probably been sharing technology with some military organisations, are they going to be as open and forthcoming with non-military applications?
